If you don’t think you can become influential or an expert, you’re believing the wrong things.
The word says you’re called to expand your tent, which means your influence and reach. The first tell-tale sign of someone who will succeed as a leader in their industry is their answer to this one question:
“How long are you going to be doing this?”Because you have to play the long-game. It won’t happen over night. And you don’t want to it. Because when it does, most of the time, it all comes crumbling down because there’s no foundation. No one is a success overnight. In this video, I share with you the 4 ways you can become an expert at anything, even without any prior experience.
- Study: Do everything you can to put yourself in a position of continual learning. Read the books, listen to the podcasts, watch the videos, buy the courses, hire the coaches, find the mentors…
- Test: Don’t stop at consuming. Start creating. There are a lot of bloated entrepreneurs out there who have a lot coming in, and nothing coming out. They know everything, but they’re not doing anything.
- Document: Find a way to record what works and doesn’t work. What you’re doing differently and the results you get. The ideas you have about why it’s working and how you think you can make it work. This will empower you to do the next step, which is to…
- Teach: Leaders create leaders. They don’t create followers. Every client I have has heard “I want you to be able to fire me. I don’t want you to be dependent on me. I want you to succeed so much that you don’t need me anymore.” Why? Because I don’t want people to be dependent on whether or not they have access to me. That’s a fear and manipulation and deception tactic. I want others to grow WITH me.
